Welcome to the website for the 33rd IBBY International Congress, entitled Crossing Boundaries: Translations and Migrations, which was held at Imperial College, London, from 23rd to 26th August 2012. We are grateful to Arts Council England and to our other sponsors for their generous support for this congress.
The main theme of the congress was Crossing Boundaries: Translations and Migrations. We explored how books and stories for children and young people can cross boundaries and migrate across different countries and cultures. The congress looked at issues such as globalisation, dual-language texts, cultural exchange and the art of translation. Find out more...
